Perfect., (What's this?) Even heat distribution, sturdy construction, great value, what else is there to say? I'm pretty certain this pot will last far far longer than I will. Congratulations grandchildren (I'm in my 20's so you don't exist yet) you're going to inherit one nice cooking utensil! The rivets that hold the handle on are a bit of a pain to clean out, but as long as you have some sort of nail brush type of thing, not a problem.
Nice little saucepan, (What's this?) Thi is a very handy litle saucepan. I use it almost every day. Stainless steel always cleans up so nicely. You won't go wrong with this little product.
Wonderful soup size pot!, (What's this?) I bought 2 of these to supplement a 17 piece set of Professional Series Cuisanart Cookware. The set did not come with small saucepans, so I had to find others. Bought these and have used several times. I love. They heat up well and their style compliments the Professional Grade set I had purchased. They are sturdy and have a great feel and weight to them.
Spins excessively on a flat surface, (What's this?) I'm the opposite of a cooking expert; I was simply looking for a nice new saucepan for my induction stove. Unfortunately, the item I got seems to bulge out a bit in the bottom. Basically, it spins around pretty freely on the flat surface of the stove. Yes, you do have to be more careful since there's less friction on a flat cooktop, but other cookware I have does not wander around quite like this.
Retains heat too well, (What's this?) I cook ramen in this. The pot stay hot long after I take it off the stove, which prevents me from drinking the ramen soup.
Nice Lil Pot, (What's this?) I bought this little saucepan to replace an existing 1.5 Qt Cuisinart pot that had started to leak at point where the handle connect to the main pot.
Scratches Very Easily with metal utenils, however still 5 out of 5, (What's this?) Great even cooking saucepans. I own one of each size. I have used a metal egg-beater in them for mixing ingredients and keeping stuff from burning and it will scratch the stainless steal, however it is strictly cosmetic. These dont rust, and they cook evenly. They are heavy and feel high-quality.
The most used pot in my kitchen!, (What's this?) Just completed my first Thanksgiving dinner since purchasing the 4-Qt Cuisinart pot. I was thrilled with the versatility. It wasn't too large for small dishes. I used it to for sauces, boiling vegetables, boiling pasta, giblet gravy, candied yams, etc. At some stage, nearly all of my side dishes were cooked in the same pot. All I had to do was a quick wash in between dishes and move on to the next item. This, of course, made after-dinner cleanup easier. I toyed with the idea of purchasing an All-Clad 4 qt for much more money. I'm glad I chose the Cuisinart pot. . . by far the best deal for the money. (Many thanks to the Amazon.com review writers who provided detailed comparisons.
Very good quality pan, (What's this?) This is a heavy-gauge pan that works very well. The inside bottom became a little bit discolored, due, I think, to cooking on high heat, which the instructions say not to do. The handle on the pan did not heat up after half an hour of cooking, but the metal loop handle on the lid became very hot, so be sure to use a hot pad when removing the lid. The tapered rim minimizes dripping when pouring out the contents. Cooked-on food is easily cleaned off after soaking the pan in water for awhile. The all-metal construction allows putting the pan and lid in the oven. I am very happy with this purchase.
Good quality, good price, good product overall., (What's this?) This pan is perfect for a 1 or 2 person cooking. It is good quality and it works great. My only complaint, and the only reason why I am not giving it 5 stars, would be that with the time the steel doesn't look great anymore, and that I stopped putting it in the dishwasher because it seemed to increase the discoloration.
But this is mainly a esthetic thing, the pan works great anyway.
