Inferior Workmanship.., (What's this?) This Comal by Imusa was a more or less good price,
but it shows in the workmanship. The product is
"Cast Iron" and it appears that the quality control
on the casting leaves much to be desired. There were
folds in the metal that in better forges would never
have been allowed to leave their shop.
The functionality is not affected (so far), but the
appearance is definitely "sub-grade".
If I was to purchase this item in a store, I would
review the bunch on the shelf to not buy the one
that has these forging defects. I would look for
one without (if it existed).
Stovetop or Oven Use.Pre Seasoned Cast Iron.Sturdy Construction. The Imusa preseasoned cast iron Comal makes traditional cooking a snap. Cast Iron is ideal for stovetop or oven use. The sturdy construction is made to last a lifetime. Not intended to be cleaned in the dishwasher.
